The counselling for NEET PG 2023 will be held online, and the complete step-by-step procedure starting from registration to final reporting at the institute for NEET PG 2023 counselling is explained below:

  • Visit the official website of MCC (mcc.nic.in) and you will see the link to ‘NEET PG 2023 Counselling Registration’.

  • Log in to enter your details, including Name, DOB, Contact No., Application No. and Roll No. and click on the ‘Submit’ button. The login credentials will be shared with you via SMS/email.

  • Candidates need to register fresh before each round of NEET PG counselling

  • Next, pay a requisite amount as a registration fee for NEET PG counselling. The amount is to be paid online via Credit card/Debit card/ Net banking.

Step 2: Choice Filling & Locking

  • The 2nd step involves choosing the preferred colleges and courses from the list on the MCC website based on the candidate’s rank.

  • Candidates can have as many choices as they want to. However, they are advised to review the choices before finally locking the colleges.  

Step 3: Seat Allotment 

  • MCC has released the NEET PG 2023 seat allotment list in PDF format on its website.

  • Seats are allocated based on the choices filled by the candidates and All India Rankings (AIR).

  • Candidates with names on the final seat allotment list can log in to the MCC website and download their seat allocation letter.

Step 4: Reporting for NEET PG Counselling

  • Shortlisted candidates need to report to the allotted institute on the given date and time with all the necessary documents for verification. 

  • Those who do not turn up for NEET PG 2023 counselling on the given date will have their seats disqualified by the MCC.

NEET PG Counselling 2023 Seat Allotment

Candidates are allotted seats based on the NEET PG 2023 merit list and the availability of seats in the colleges. Students with better rankings are given preference over those with lower ranks. The details of NEET PG seat allotment 2023 are as follows:

50% All India Quota Seats (AIQ)

Under this quota, 50% of all government college seats is offered to students from any part of the country. The MCC will conduct counselling for 50% AIQ seats on the basis of NEET PG Scorecard 2023. 

State Quota Seats

Under this quota, 50% of the seats is reserved for candidates holding domicile of the state. The concerned State/University/designated authority will conduct counselling for State quota seats as per the scores obtained by the candidates. 

Admission to Deemed Universities/Private Medical Colleges

Counselling for admission of students to private medical colleges/deemed universities/institutions is done by the designated authority of the colleges.

Admission to Armed Forces Medical Service Institutions

Seats are allotted for admission to Armed Forces Medical Service Institutions by the Directorate General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), Ministry of Defense, and Government of India.
