IIAD 2024 Exam Pattern

The IIAD exam pattern is designed by the Indian Institute of Art & Design. The entrance exam is conducted in both online & offline modes. The design aptitude test (DAT) is conducted for the UG design courses. It is divided into a written entrance exam and studio simulation rounds. For the Fashion Business Management course, candidates are required to appear for the two-step selection process. It includes a written entrance exam referred to as a management aptitude test (MAT) and a personal interview round.

Key Pointers of IIAD Exam Syllabus 2024

The key pointers of the IIAD exam syllabus will help candidates be aware of the complete structure before sitting for the final exam day:

  • The exam syllabus is split into two sections, each dedicated to a different subject matter. 
  • Section A is Logical Reasoning and Section B is Creative Thinking and Visual Aptitude. 
  • Both the sections A and B are of 100 mark each.
  • The total marks of the entrance is 200. 
  • This exam will include objective-type, drawing type and descriptive-type questions.
  • Each section will carry a different number of questions.
  • But objective-type questions will have 1 mark.
  • While the Description or Drawing-based questions are suggested to carry 5 marks or more.
