Boeing India Launches BUILD Programme With Top Technological Institutions of India

Boeing India has launched a BUILD Programme that is focused on providing a platform for innovators, students and faculty in India who wish to convert their ideas into a reality. Industry experts will guide the candidates in refining the ideas and making them into a viable business venture.

Boeing India Launches BUILD Programme With Top Technological Institutions of India

The Industry giant of Aerospace, Boeing has declared that they will be offering a new programme for the students and faculty of Indian Universities, as well as start-ups that are on the first few stages of existence. The programme will help these people who choose to pursue the programme to convert their ideas into feasible business ventures which will also put into motion a change in the aerospace industry for the better in the future.

The applicants who wish to pursue the programme will have to provide ideas in the field of Aerospace, Advanced Manufacturing, Autonomous Vehicles, Analytics, Augmented and Virtual reality, Robotics and Internet of Things as well as Materials.

In a statement made by the President of Boeing India, Salil Gupte stated that offering the programme to the young minds of India will help restructure the future of aerospace. The programme is directed towards the students as well as the budding entrepreneurs in India, he added. The Programme will be known as the Boeing University Innovation Leadership Development (BUILD) programme. Under the programme, students will be able to learn from the partnerships and experience that they will gain from the programme as well as be able to convert their ideas into innovations that will change the course of the world in terms of aerospace, he added.

Boeing India has partnered with various colleges and institutions in India to promote its programme with the students. The Institutions and colleges that have formed a pact with Boeing are:

These institutions will select the candidates from its campuses for the BUILD programme which will be held in BUILD Boot Camps.

In order to be selected for the programmes, once the names of the teams have been shortlisted, they will have to compete with other teams on a regional level. Once they pass the selection process, the finalists who have been chosen, the candidates will then have to present their ideas to the panel of the selection committee. The Panel will consist of subject-matter experts and the finalists will have to pitch in their ideas on the Boeing Innovation Day, which is expected to be held in the Month of September.

The candidates who win the Boeing Innovation Day, will e awarded cash prizes. The candidates who will be part of the BUILD programme will be mentored and guided all throughout the duration of the programme by the mentors from Boeing as well as other industry experts. The experts will guide the candidates on how to refine their polish and learn a few tips and tricks of entrepreneurship.
