The College of New Caledonia (CNC) was founded in 1962 as B.C. Vocational School. Later, in 1969, CNC opened on “operating funds only”, receiving financial aid from participating school districts, with the Prince George Senior School offering its facilities on lease. College of New Caledonia is situated in the Central Interior of British Columbia and is recognised as the college with the second-lowest tuition in British Columbia. The main campus of CNC is located in Prince George, BC, Canada. The college pans over three school districts namely Quesnel, Prince George and Nechako Lake.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

The College of New Caledonia provides a common platform that connects a rich diversity of students, faculty and staff from across the globe. CNC provides a variety of educational degree programmes which are conducted at six campuses expanding across an area of 117,500 square kilometres. The main campus of CNC is the Prince George Campus where most programmes and courses are offered. The other campuses include Quesnel, Lakes District, Mackenzie, Nechako and Vanderhoof. CNC offers a wide range of courses in different fields of study like technical, vocational, career-oriented courses and University Credit programming as well.

Accomplishments & Alumni

Over the years, the CNC community has managed to help people succeed academically, personally and professionally. The CNC degree and training programmes are designed to help students acquire technical skills, knowledge and soft skills demanded by industries, companies and organizations. The team at CNC encourages students to serve the community and society for a better future. The CNC Alumni is a community of former students who connect on a single platform to share their experiences, support current students at CNC and benefit from various services offered to them by the college. Many CNC Alma Maters are generous enough to voluntarily serve the college.  Every year, CNC Alumni members raise funds for scholarships and bursaries to support prospective and current students.

Student Diversity & Visiting Companies

Every year, the College of New Caledonia enrols approximately 5,000 students from countries around the world in more than 90-degree programmes offered at 6 campuses. International students prefer applying at CNC as the cost of pursuing higher education is quite affordable. The College of New Caledonia is the college that has the second-lowest tuition in British Columbia. The courses are offered by experienced faculty members who prepare students for a successful career. Along with this, CNC offers a Job Education Training Programme to help students explore their skills and abilities and guide them to apply for work. A separate CNC Student Employment website for employers to post job openings and other information like career fairs, placement drives etc. are posted on the portal regularly has also been established by the College.

Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards for International Students

The College of New Caledonia offers a number of scholarships for all students studying at the college. For those joining the college in the Fall Session of any given academic year, they will be eligible for the scholarships and awards in October of the respective year.

Supporting the academic endeavours of its students, CNC provides more than 300 different scholarships, bursaries and awards, based on the academic achievements of the applicants or on purely financial need displayed by the student. Current CNC students are eligible for scholarships and awards ranging between $250 and $1500.

How to Apply:

  • Interested candidates should visit the official website of CNC.

  • Aspirants must log in to the website with their respective Student ID and Password, given by the college.

  • Once logged in, students must follow the instructions provided to check out the list of eligible scholarships and awards that they can apply to. The eligible scholarships and awards will vary according to the programme or course the student has chosen to pursue.

  • Candidates must then read through the eligibility criteria for each award, and ensure they meet the required criteria. Some awards carry specific eligibility criteria, therefore, all students are advised to thoroughly read the eligibility criteria for the CNC Scholarship for international students.

  • Candidates will then be required to submit their documents along with a completely filled application form. Students must also submit documents proving their contribution to the community along with an essay and other documents.
