The Memorial University of Newfoundland was founded in 1925 as a memorial to the Newfoundlanders who lost their lives in the First World War and subsequent conflicts. Every year, MUN enrolls more than 19,000 students at the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes from around 115 countries, that accounts for 20% of the students at Memorial University of Newfoundland as international students.
