Student Living Cost in China

With a population of 1.4 billion, the people in China enjoy a relatively low cost of living as compared to many other countries. The cost of living in China also depends upon which city your college is located in. For eg., Beijing and Shanghai are two of the most expensive cities in China and a monthly expenditure of USD 1000-1200 is required to cover the living expenses in these cities.

The average monthly expenses in China are given in the table below.

Average Cost of Study in China

The average tuition fees in public universities in China usually vary from USD 3300 to 10,000 per year.

  • Fees for an English taught degree varies between USD 2200 and 4500 per year.

  • Fees for programmes in medicine, engineering and business vary between USD 24,000 and 50,000 per year.

The average tuition fees in private universities usually vary from USD 8000 to 15,000 per year.
