Lyceum Northwestern University (L-NU) is a private medical college founded in 1969 by Dr Francisco Quimson Duque and Mrs Florencia Tiongson Duque. LNU is an internationally recognized university located in Dagupan, Philippines and is well known for its quality of education and research work. L-NU is certified by ISO, UNESCO, accredited to PAASCU, PACUCOA, FAAP and recognised by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Department of Education (DepEd), Philippines. It is also a lifetime member of University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP). The universitys FQD Medical Foundation College of Medicine has been recognized as the third best medical school in the country and fifth-best worldwide.
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
Lyceum Northwestern University restricted and developed itself to meet the requirements with each passing year to become one of the best private universities in the Philippines. The Northern Philippines Institute of Medicine of L-NU was founded in 1974 after the consortium of local tertiary schools and became the first medical school of the north. The medical courses at the university are offered under various disciplines like Dentistry, Physical Therapy and Radiologic Technology. It was in 1979 when the Nursing Department became the LNU College of Nursing. L-NU boasts a spacious campus with modern facilities including smart classrooms, a fully furnished library, playgrounds and a gym & fitness area. The courses are delivered by experienced faculty members and the practical sessions are conducted under the guidance of experts in the field.

L-NU has produced around 9,000 socially and ethically responsible, well-trained and dedicated graduates since its inception. In 1980, L-NU College of Medicine garnered distinction with a 100% passing percentage in Medical Board Examination.
