• No of Attempts: According to the norms of the College Board, candidates can take an SAT as many times as they want. There is no limit to the number of attempts. • Age Limit: Any high school student can take the SAT exam. The SAT conducting body has not put any age limit on the applicants wishing to attempt the test. Certain rules are denied for students who are below 12 years of age.

• Educational Qualification: No specific education qualification is required to appear in the test. However, the candidate must have good command of the English language to attempt the test.

• Nationality: Students belonging to any country can appear in an SAT. The test is conducted at designated SAT Test Centres across different parts of the world.

Age Limit to Appear in SAT 2022

As per the regulations set by College Board, any high school student is able to take the SAT exam. Generally, candidates who are in the 10th and the 11th standard attempt the SAT. In other words, an appropriate age to take the SAT is in between 17 to 19 years.

Also, the College Board has defined a certain set of rules for students who are less than 13 years old or are studying in a grade lower than the eighth grade. These rules are as follows:

• Students who are younger than 13 years old can only register by phone or mail. Students younger than 13 years of age can not register online due to internet privacy laws. There is a fee waiver for students who register via phone.

• Students studying in a grade below eighth need not include a photo while doing their SAT registration. However, they must carry a valid photo ID at the test centre.

• Students who are above 21 years of age must carry with them an official government-issued photo ID at the test centre.

Educational Requirement to Appear in SAT 2022

The College Board has not set any educational or academic eligibility criteria for SAT. The globally renowned test can be taken by any High School student who seeks admission to colleges majorly in the United States but also in Canada. The SAT will only evaluate the candidate’s knowledge, aptitude, skills and understandings that are considered critical for college and career readiness.
