SAT is a standardised test accepted by leading international universities. Top universities such as Harvard, Cornell, Yale, and Princeton encourage students to take the SAT even if they have gone test-optional amid and post the pandemic. There are seven SAT exam dates in a year.

How can you Apply for SAT Exam 2022?

Students who are planning to study abroad can apply for the SAT exam online or via mail. To apply online, they need to have an account on the College Board's official website. After this, they can easily register for the SAT exam, select the test centre and get other exam-related information. 

If a student wants to apply through mail, then they will need  'The Student Registration Guide for the SAT and SAT Subject Tests'. This guide includes the form that is required to be filled out and sent to the regional office of the United States India Educational Foundation (USIEF).

Apply for SAT Exam via Online

Step 1: Visit the College Board website and create a student account.

Step 2: Provide all the necessary details from basic information to academic qualifications. Make sure that personal information like name and address should match with the government ID.

Step 3: Now upload your picture.

Step 4: Go through the form again, recheck the answers and eliminate errors. 

Step 5: Submit and log out. You can take a printout of the admission ticket.

Before opting for the offline option, can follow these quick steps to apply for SAT exam via mail:

Step 1: Get yourself 'The Student Registration Guide for the SAT and SAT Subject Tests’. This can be easily available at your high school. If not, students can request the College Board to send the guide. 

Step 2: Look for the form on the last page.

Step 3: Read all the questions carefully and fill out the form. Make sure to answer all the fields shaded in red and marked as 'Required'. 

Step 4: In case, if a student is looking for a fee waiver, then they can attach the fee waiver card with the registration form.

Step 5: The form also comes with an envelope. Attach the demand draft for a fee along with the form and seal it in the envelope. 

Step 6: Mail it to the address given in the guide.

Step 4: Now, book SAT exam date and location. Students are advised to choose the nearest location.

Can I cancel my SAT exam dates and get a refund?

Yes, you can cancel your SAT exam dates and get a refund only if you have at least five days at hand before your scheduled exam date. As per the College Board's cancellation policies, to get a refund applicants must cancel their SAT test at least prior to five days. Applicants will not be refunded the cancellation fee if they cancel the exam dates after that.

What important things I should keep in mind before rescheduling my SAT exam date?

Before rescheduling your SAT exam date, there are a few important things you should keep in mind like its rescheduling cost. It will cost you USD 28 per reschedule and this will be in addition to the USD 60 fee you have already paid when you registered for the SAT exam. However, the good news is that rescheduling SAT test dates is not subject to a deadline.

Can I reschedule my SAT exam date?

Yes, you can reschedule your SAT exam date by visiting your ‘My SAT’ page where all your registered test dates will appear. Under the test you want to reschedule, click on 'change registration'. After that, you will be automatically redirected to a new tab where all your SAT admission ticket details will now be shown. Now, click on ‘change my test date’ at the bottom of the page to reschedule your SAT exam date.
