More than a hundred scholarships are available to women from Asia and the Americas to pursue studies in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). These scholarships are designed to support women who want to study at a UK university and earn a masters degree. These scholarshipsalso cover the cost of living and travel expenses.
The first batch of 119 scholars, which included 19 women from India, studied at a university in the UK in 2021. Through these scholarships, the British Council aims to support women from developing countries who want to study in the UK. Indian women who are pursuing masters programs in the UK can apply to study at over a dozen universities across the country.

As part of the program, women from India can also apply for Early Academic Fellowships at 13 UK universities. They can study various subjects such as data science, engineering, and environmental science. Women with dependent children can also apply for the scholarship. The deadline for the program is March 31, 2022.
Through this fourth round of scholarships, the British Council aims to provide women with the opportunity to study at top universities in the UK, which are known for their quality programmes in Science and Technology. With the support of the British Council, women from across India can now apply for these scholarships to study at top universities in the UK.

Barbara Wickham, the British Councils Chief Executive, said that the organisation is committed to improving the education and careers of women in the UK. Through these scholarships, women from India can pursue a masters in science, technology, and innovation at UK universities.
