Through its numerous methods, guidelines and measures, Canada has now become one of the top countries that are viewed as safe and stable, for international students. Two surveys conducted by Navitas Insights revealed that due to the active handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, Canada is not only considered to be the top countries but has also improved its position since May 2020.
The surveys also highlight that countries that have been deemed as safe and stable are usually not considered as open and welcoming. However, Canada has been able to accomplish both.

Sources have stated that international students aspiring to enter Canada are only required to ensure that their university or institute has an approved COVID-19 Readiness Plan by the Provincial Government. The country of origin of the student is not a matter of concern to study in Canada during the pandemic.
According to Navitas Insights, in the first survey which was conducted in May 2020, Canada had been way ahead of the pack with New Zealand and Australia. However, the second survey, which was conducted in September 2020, revealed that Canada is now fighting with the UK for the top destination for higher studies., which is an improvement.

With its offering of a warmer welcome to international students, many students, especially from Australia have decided to switch their study abroad destinations to Canada. While international students are welcomed in Canada, international students, especially Indians are unable to travel for their higher education.
