MBBS Students Evacuated from Ukraine Can Gain Practical Training in Their Own Countries

Ukraine universities have allowed international students to gain hands-on training and internship experience at any private or public hospital as well as clinic or college in their native countries. If international students manage to get a certificate signed by a doctor after the internship or training, it will be considered as practical training for spring semester 2021-22.

MBBS Students Evacuated from Ukraine Can Gain Practical Training in Their Own Countries

As a big relief to international students evacuated from Ukraine, the war-torn country's medical universities have allowed the foreign students to gain hands-on training at hospitals and clinics in their native countries.Ukrainian medical institutionshave urged the foreign governments to provide their students with training opportunities to help them develop adequate skills.

Since March, the universities in eastern European countries started online classes to keep continuing the studies of international students amidst the devastating situation in the Ukraine. However, the major concern that aroused due to online study model was the lack of practical/clinical experience, which is an important part of the course.

In order to help them, several universities, hospitals and clinics came to the rescue of such medical students by offering them internship and practical classes.

Dnipro State Medical Universityreleasing a notice said that in this hard-hitting situation students are being taught with the help of technologies. This is leading to lack of practical knowledge and skills.

The university appealed to public institutes and private clinics in the native countries of foreign students to provide them with medical practice opportunities in the Spring Semester 2021-2022.

Another institute, V N Karazin Kharkiv National University, has issued a letter urging the foreign governments to allow its students to get hands-on training at their private and government colleges.

They added that if the students managed to get a certificate duly signed by a doctor on a medical form, indicating the practical skills acquired during the session, it will be considered as a practical training for academic year 2021-2022 for the Spring Semester.

Meanwhile in Noida, Nix Multi Speciality Hospital has started a six-month internship for the Ukraine-returned students and will also provide them with certificates so that they can show their respective universities.

Several students have also shown interest in the same and are looking forward to the start of their practical training and internship.
