Latest Update(May 5, 2022):From 11.59 pm onMay 5, 2022, New Zealand residence class visa holdersand Australian citizens ordinarily resident in New Zealandwho has not received Covid-19 vaccinationwill be able to enter New Zealand and have to undergoself-test on arrival.A negative pre-departure test is still required for entering New Zealand.
The people who need proof of vaccination to enter New Zealand are:
- non-New Zealand citizensincluding New Zealand permanent residents
- non-New Zealand citizens who are transiting New Zealand
- foreign aircrew arriving in New Zealand
People above will not be able to enter New Zealand if they do not furnish proof of vaccination. Indian students planning to enter New Zealand will require full vaccination proof.

If you are travelling to New Zealand from India then you must meet the travel requirements as mentioned here:

Travellers from India to New Zealand must be fully vaccinated

Vaccines that are approved by New Zealand for entry are AstraZeneca/Covishield, Covaxin, Moderna, Sputnik V, Covovax, Novavax and Janssen

Three doses of the Zydus Cadila vaccine required

The traveller must conduct a Covid-19 test before taking the flight

After You Arrive in New Zealand
Check the guidelines that you need to follow after entering New Zealandfrom India:

On arrival in New Zealand,you will be screened for Covid-19, cold or flu symptoms at the airport

You will also have to take the Covid-19 test within 24 hours of arrival in New Zealand

During the waiting period for test results, you will have to be in quarantine at a government-designated centre or self-managed isolation facility centre. Both facilities are available in hotels
