The University of Birmingham Dubai has announced scholarships for Indian students. These scholarships will be awarded to selected candidates and the award amount will cover up to 40% of tuition fee costs. To supportapplicants who wish to experience a high-quality education at a Global Top 100 British university in Dubai, theUniversity of Birmingham Dubai hasannounced a package of scholarshipsfor Indian students that offer up to a 40% of tuition fee waivers.

Commenting on the scholarships, Jessica Bowen, International Officer (Europe and South Asia) at the University of Birmingham UK, stated that the University of Birmingham Dubai provides students with an excellent experience in every possible waysocial, academic, and cultural.

On both the Birmingham and Dubai campuses, Indian students have consistently exhibited a high level of talent and passion for the courses the university offers. Students and their parents can feel more at home in Dubai because of its proximity to India.

All international students, including Indian candidates, applying to the University of Birmingham Dubai campus are eligible for these coveted scholarships. If the student is offered a scholarship by the university, the value of the scholarship will be determined based on their predicted grades or depending on the conditions met by the students as per the offer letter.

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Students

Candidates who are interested to apply for the University of Birmingham Dubai scholarships must have proof of English proficiency. This could be done either by taking English proficiency tests like the IELTS exam, PTE Academic, or theTOEFL exam. The institute could be willing to accept prior or alternative credentials as proof as well. The following are the eligibility criteria for Indian students to avail of the scholarships at the University of Birmingham Dubai:

For Undergraduates

  • In terms of board exam scores, applicants to Birmingham Foundation Academy must have a class 12 higher secondary certificate with an average score of 65% from the ICSE, CBSE, or West Bengal State Board. On the other hand, 70% is the minimum requirement for all other state boards in India.

  • Applicants for physical sciences and engineering courses should have obtained a score of at least 65% in Mathematics in the CBSE, ICSE, or West Bengal State Boards exams.

  • Applicants from the CBSE, ICSE, and West Bengal State Boards should have at least a 65% in biology to apply for a Biology-based degree.

For Postgraduates

  • For a postgraduate degree, the applicant must have completed either a four-year bachelor's degree (very good upper second class or first class division) or a three-year bachelor's degree (first class division) from any accredited Indian university.

  • For MSc programmes, the university will accept three-year degree programmes (first class or very good upper second class division) from recognised universities in India.

  • For LLM degrees, a three-year LLB degree from a prestigious Indian institution will be accepted, as well as those who have completed their LLBs over five years.

How to Apply for University of Birmingham Dubai Scholarships?

The following is a step-by-step process for applying to the University of Birmingham Dubai scholarships:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the University of Birmingham Dubai.

Step 2: On the homepage, click 'Dubai scholarships' after scrolling down.

Step 3: You will be taken to a different webpage. Scroll to the bottom and select 'apply now'.

Step 4: Select your course and then click on 'apply now'.

Step 5: Signup or log in to complete the application form. Upload all the necessary documents, photographs and signatures. After this, submit the application.

International students have a deadline of the end of August to submit their applications for the Fall 2022 intake. Following the university's decision, the candidate will be notified by the authorities via their registered email address.
