In a bid to provide employers with skilled and qualified graduates, the University of Essex Online announced all-new continuous professional development (CPD) micro-credentials. The motive of the standalone modules is to provide students with industry-relevant skills and knowledge, with the added bonus of online learning.
As per the press release published by the university, the CPD microcredential modules are taken from full Level 7 postgraduate courses, allowing students to gain qualifications within 13 weeks. Further, the modules offer an affordable opportunity to students looking to enhance their resumes while gaining industry-relevant skills. Moreover, the modules will remain updated with the latest emerging trends.
In a similar fashion to other University of Essex online courses, Kaplan Open Learning will be offering the new modules in partnership with the university. On completion of the course, graduates will receive a certificate from the University of Essex, wherein the mode of study will only be mentioned on the transcript.

The Managing Director at Kaplan Open Learning, Ms Nicola Pittman, commented on the launch of the microcredential modules.
