In a move to claim a spot in the top 50 young universities and become a top-tier university in the world, VinUniversity in Vietnam has opened a special admission round to attract exceptional international and domestic students who have achieved international recognition.
Outstanding students from across the world will now be exempted from the initial application process. International or Vietnamese students who have been honoured with medals at national or international science olympiads or have been accepted or recognised by top-ranked universities will be considered for this exemption and will directly move on to the interview round with VinUniversitys Admissions Council.
In addition, the university will also ensure an expedited special admissions process which will not last longer than 15 days.

Under the 5-5-5 process, the university said that eligible candidates will be invited for an interview after which they will receive their application result letters and admission offer with scholarship conditions (if any) within the next five working days. The candidate will have five working days to reply to the admission offer.
The university has also launched an International Fellowship program for international students, aimed at providing them with 50-80% tuition fee waiver and attract more international talents to Vietnam in the 2021-22 academic year.
