Overview

Bedfordshire University is a public university that's located in Luton, England. It was established in 1882 and was previously known as the University of Luton. In 2006, it was renamed after the merger of the University of Luton and the Bedford campus of De Montfort University. The university is officially recognized by the Privy Council. The University of Bedfordshire is ranked 67th out of 130 UK universities according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020. Around 4,500 international students are enrolled at the university. This includes those from Thailand, Russia, China, and the UK. 

The University of Bedfordshire is spread across six urban campuses: there are four campuses in Bedfordshire, in Bedford and Luton; and two campuses in Buckinghamshire, in Aylesbury (for students studying Nursing and Midwifery), and in Milton Keynes (where business studies, electronic engineering, and telecommunications are taught). The university has four faculties: Creative Arts, Technologies and Science; Education and Sport; Health and Social Sciences. Vice-chancellor Scholarships

One of these is the Vice Chancellor's Scholarship, which is available to new international applicants. It is a GBP 1,000 scholarship that can be used for both postgraduate and undergraduate studies.
