Established in 1967, the University of Stirling is a public research university in the UK, located in the vibrant city Stirling in Scotland, UK. International Foundation: The international foundation programme is designed to help the students get admission in the 2nd year of an undergraduate programme. The programme is designed to help students be prepared at an academic level and also meet the English Language Test requirement to enter a wide range of degree programmes offered. Following are the international foundation programme offered to the students at the University of Stirling:

International Diploma Course: The International Diploma Course offered at the University of Stirling is equivalent to the second year of an undergraduate degree at the University. The course is designed to help students develop academic and English Language skills. After the completion of the course, students can directly get admission to the third year of an undergraduate programme. The course offered under this programme is International Diploma in Business, Finance, Marketing and Humanities. This programme includes the area of studies like Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing and Media and Sociology.

Undergraduate Degree with International Year One: The Undergraduate Degree with International Year One programme is designed to combine undergraduate degree programmes along with the preparation studies. The candidates enrolled under this programme will develop undergraduate skills along with English Language skills. After the completion of the combined first year of studies, students can continue the second year of the degree programme. The courses covered under this category include BA (Hons) Accounting, BSc (Hons) Biological Sciences, BA (Hons) Business Studies, BSc (Hons) Computing Science, BA (Hons) Journalism Studies, and BA (Hons) Sports Studies along with the preparatory studies in the first year.

Undergraduate Degree with International Year Two: This is a course that combines an undergraduate course along with a preparatory course. The course that can be combined along with the preparatory course includes Bachelor of Arts Honors in Accounting, Bachelor of Arts Honors in Business, Bachelor of Arts Honors in Studies, Bachelor of Arts Honors in Film and Media, Bachelor of Arts Honors in Finance and Investment, Bachelor of Arts Honors in Marketing, Bachelor of Arts Honors in Sociology and Social Policy. Candidates who do qualify for the above-mentioned course can apply for other courses like International Diploma in Business, Finance, Marketing and Humanities. After the successful completion of these courses, the students can progress to undergraduate degree programmes.

Graduate Diploma: Graduate Diploma are the preparatory courses that are designed to help students get direct entry to the postgraduate courses. Following are the Graduate Diploma courses which are offered at the University of Stirling:

COVID-19 Response

Following is the latest update on the teaching and learning programme to be conducted at the University of Stirling for the academic year 2021-22:

  • The Stirling council area is currently on the Level 2 of the Scottish Government Coronavirus (COVID-19) protection levels. All students and staff of the University of Stirling shall have to follow the public health and University guidance for the safety of everyone.

  • The University of Stirling has started enabling more in-person teaching to take place from the month of May 2021, as per the guidelines defined by the government.

  • With strict adherence to the COVID-19 protocols for laboratory and fieldwork, students are currently allowed to continue their research projects.

  • The Autumn Term at the University of Stirling is scheduled to start from the month of September with a maximum number of courses likely to be conducted on campus.

  • International students travelling from another country will have to follow the latest travel guidance and self-isolation (quarantine) rules as defined by the government.

  • Adhering to the guidelines set in place by the Scottish Government, the University of Stirling urges students, staff and faculty to use face coverings, avoid crowded places, clean their hands, maintain a two-metre distance, self-isolate among other precautions.

External Progression Scholarship

Postgraduate India Scholarship

2,000 tuition fee waiver per annum

Eligibility:

  • Must have received a conditional or unconditional admission offer for an eligible full-time undergraduate course, delivered at campus, starting in October 2020 or February 2021.

  • Must be paying international fees.

  • Must be an Indian national or living in India at the time of application.

  • The scholarship cannot be combined with any other Stirling scholarship or award. In case more than one University of Stirling award is offered then the highest value award will be applied.

Scotlands Saltire Scholarships

Value:

8,000 towards the tuition fees

Eligibility:

  • The Saltire Scholarships are available across key priority countries including India, Pakistan, USA, Canada, China and Japan.

  • Must have a conditional or unconditional offer of a place at a Scottish university on an eligible postgraduate Masters level course.

  • It is available for any one-year full-time postgraduate Masters programmes in areas of science, healthcare and medical sciences, creative industries, technology and healthcare and medical sciences.

Commonwealth Scholarships and Fellowships Programme

Value:

Awards are made for postgraduate taught and research programmes which usually cover tuition fees, travel and living expenses for up to 3 years.
