The DeVry University originated in the year 1931 by the name of Deforest Training School in Chicago, Illinois by Herman A DeVry. During 1953 the name was changed to DeVry Technical Institute, thereafter, acquired Ohio Institute of Technology. Now it is known as DeVry Institute Of Technology. The University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (HLC). And it ranked 491 within the boundaries and 1361 around the world. DeVry University's ranking in the US News & World Report 2020 edition of Best Colleges is Regional Universities Midwest, #117-#153.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

In 2019, DeVry University states it has more than 45 locations across 18 states in the United States including Arizona, Georgia, California, Illinois, New Jersey, Texas, New York, Virginia, North Carolina, Washington DC, Ohio, Indiana, Colorado, Missouri, Florida, Nevada, Tennessee and Pennsylvania. The university has around 53 full-time academic courses and around 1253 part-time programs with total students of 17,364 approximately. It has a variety of undergraduate, graduate programs, and certificates also. The academic colleges are the College of Business and Management, the College of Engineering & Information Sciences, the College of Health Sciences, the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, and the College of Media Arts & Technology. The popular majors at the university are Business, Journalism, Biological Sciences, Physics, Liberal Arts, Psychology, and Engineering.

Accomplishments & Alumni 

The university has celebrated the achievements and performances of students who participated in the Olympic Winter Games and athletics. Notable alumni include Steve Cartwright, David Crane, and Adeline Gray to name a few.
