Established in 1849, by the province of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University (EMU) opened in 1853 as Michigan State Normal School. Eastern Michigan University's College of Business appreciates proceeding with accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International), the chief authorizing organization for proficient business instruction at the university level around the world.
