Formed after a merger in 2017 between two respected higher education institutions i.e. Thomas Jefferson University and Philadelphia University, the newly formed university boasts of a century worth of experience, redefining education for the 21st century. Since the merger, Thomas Jefferson University has developed a new vision of “redefining what exists and all that can be”, propelling higher education into a new era altogether. Through its Nexus Learning, Thomas Jefferson University aims to eradicate “restrictive” academic disciplines, instead, connecting disciplines establishing collaborative, creative, real-world environments that lead students out of the traditional way of learning, infusing liberal arts with all that they do. The new movement in education facilitated by Thomas Jefferson University has also been recognised by US News and World Report, where the organisation ranks the university among the top 150 national universities.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

Established in an urban setting across 100 acres, Thomas Jefferson University aims to bring a new education system for students, that moulds them to meet the market demands that can be in 20-30 years from now. Following the footsteps of its forefather, who redefined education over 100 years ago, Thomas Jefferson University, through its new merger with Philadelphia University aims to bring a much-needed change in higher education. The University also boasts of a one-of-a-kind higher ed incubator, i.e. Jefferson’s Institute of Emerging Health Professions, that envisions and provides forward-thinking and innovative education for health professions that may be required within a decade or two.
