The university campus houses 24 residence halls to provide accommodation to 8,550 undergraduate students at the university. It also has one of the largest public university libraries in the world. The university has one of the finests resources for academic and research programmes. The faculty members at the university are highly skilled and talented. They are Nobel Prize holders, Pulitzer Prizes winners and also hold Fields Medal in Mathematics.

COVID-19 Response

Keeping with the times, the University of Illinois has set up regulations and guidelines pertaining to the safety of the students, staff and faculty with regards to COVID-19. The COVID-19 response of the University of Illinois includes hybrid mode of delivery of courses and subjects, controlled entry and exit for students, faculty, visitors, etc in the campus, among others. The University has been working on remote learning years ahead of the pandemic disrupting the norms, therefore, students will be offered high flexibility in accessing educational content.

• Students, faculty and staff who take part in any on-campus activities will be asked to take COVID-19 tests twice in a week and must receive a negative report.
• Those visiting the campus, i.e. students, faculty, staff, visitors, etc are all required to wear face-masks at all times. Face-masks or coverings must be worn at all public spaces especially where social distancing cannot be maintained.
• Classes will be offered in a blended model of delivery, including, In-person, asynchronous, synchronous, hybrid and hyflex models.
