The University of Notre Dame is a private research university established in 1842. Founded by Edward F. Sorin, the university was under the authority of the Holy Cross priests until 1967. Notre Dame is one of USAs leading undergraduate teaching universities, also popular for research and scholarship. The university is affiliated to the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (AACU) and the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU). Notre Dame has been ranked among the top 25 institutions of higher education by Forbes, U.S. News & World Report, and others. It is also counted among the top 10 collegiate workplaces by the Chronicle of Higher Education.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

Based on a 1,250-acre campus, the University of Notre Dame comprises 33 residence halls, 500+ student clubs and groups, 28 campus eateries, 5 recreation venues. With park-like landscape, remarkable structure and incomparable views, Notre Dame campus is among the most exquisite campuses in the United States.
