Are There Any Online or Distance Law Degrees That are Valid?

The online or distance law programs in India have a few caveats you must know. You can pursue short-term diplomas, certificate courses, or specialised law courses (examples, cyber law certificate, IPR courses, human-rights diplomas, etc.) via online/distance mode. But these are not substitutes for LLB. These online law courses may help build knowledge or useful skills, but they do not, and cannot, grant eligibility to practice as an advocate in India.

Online or distance LLB courses are not legally valid, recognised, or accepted by BCI for law practice. If you are an aspirant, you need to enrol in a full-time LLB with on-campus training from a law college approved by BCI.
