CEED Exam Day Instructions 2026: Guidelines, Know Exam Centre Dos & Don'ts
CEED 2026 exam will be conducted on January 18, 2026 from 9 AM to 12 Noon. Before appearing for the exam, it is mandatory to know about the CEED exam day instructions 2026 which is mentioned in detail in this article.
For admission to postgraduate Design programme (M.Des) IIT Bombay will conduct theCEED 2026 examon January 18, 2026 Sunday from 9 AM to 12 Noon. It is quite important for everyone who is going to appear for the exam to follow the CEED exam day instructions 2026. Any candidate who does not follow these instructions as laid down by the authorities will be barred from appearing for the exam. The instructions that are required to be followed on the exam day are mentioned in detail on the admit card. Therefore candidates must make it a point to first verify the details mentioned on the admit card and then read these guidelines. The detailed guidelines are mentioned below.
- Reporting Time -Every candidate must report at the designated exam centre at 7 AM. Students arriving late at the exam centre will not be allowed to appear for the exam. Moreover, it is important for every student to report at the exam centre which is mentioned on their admit card.
- Verification of Documents -Aspirants who are taking the exam must carry the printed admit card along with a valid ID proof. It is mandatory for everyone to carry the hard copy of the admit card and also the ID proof.
- Record of Biometric Information -After entering the examination centre the centre coordinator will record the biometric details like thumb impression and photograph. It is important to note that the thumb impression will be verified again during the admission process.
- Conduct of Exam -It is mandatory for every candidate to bring their own stationary however they should keep in mind that drawing sheets are not allowed inside the examination centre. Similarly, electronic gadgets are also not allowed inside the exam hall. The seating arrangement will be displayed inside the centre and the invigilator will assign the seat which has to be followed by every aspirant. Any request for change of seat will not be entertained. Moreover, no applicant will be allowed to leave the centre / hall before the exam ends.

Along with the admit card candidates are required to carry any one of the following original ID proofs.
- College Issued Identity Proof
- Passport
- Driving License
- PAN Card
- Voter ID Card
- Adhar Card
Items Allowed Inside the Exam Hall
The following items are allowed inside the exam hall.
- Stationary like Pen, Pencil, Sketching Pens, Colours, Erasers etc.
- Transparent Water Bottles
- Admit Card with Valid ID Proof
Items Prohibited Inside the Exam Hall
The items not allowed inside the exam hall are-
- Electronic Devices like Mobile phones, Smart watches / digital watches, Calculators, Tablets / iPads, Bluetooth devices, Earphones / headphones, Cameras
- Books, notes, papers, Geometry box, Tracing paper, Scale, compass, divider, Abacus, slide rule
- Bags, wallets, Purses, Food items, Loose papers
