CSIR NET December 2025 Life Sciences exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is scheduled for December 18, 2025 . With the exam date coming closer, aspirants are now speeding up their revision plans. As per recent trends and past-year patterns, Biochemistry has yet again become the highlight of the preparation cycle. Many students have noted that Unit 1 usually carries a heavier weightage, making it one of the most important units for CSIR NET Life Science. In previous sessions, nearly 15-20% of the Life Sciences paper came from this unit, which explains why most students spend extra time here.

Biochemistry has very simple but very scoring topics. Many questions come directly from these areas, and students mostly find similar patterns every year. Topics like Amino Acids, Protein Structures, and the Ramachandran Plot have appeared so many times in past papers that they are almost expected now. Additionally, topics like Enzyme Kinetics, Enzyme Inhibition, and questions based on Lineweaver–Burk plots are common in both Section B and Section C.

The most important areas and topics for CSIR NET Life Science 2025 revision include:

  • Amino Acids
  • Protein Structures
  • Ramachandran plot
  • Enzyme Kinetics and Inhibition (section B+C)
  • DNA structure (A, B, Z forms)
  • RNA types (mRNA, miRNA, rRNA, tRNA)
  • Buffers
  • Metabolism (Carbohydrates & Fats)

Experts suggest that students should focus on integrating concepts from Biochemistry with other related units like Cell Biology and Molecular Biology for better conceptual clarity. With Unit 1 forming the foundation for advanced topics, simple diagrams, small notes, and solving old papers can help them remember the concepts better and score more in the CSIR NET December 2025 exam.
