CUET UG 2026; NTA advises applicants to Update details in Aadhaar Card, Category Certificates
NTA urges applicants to update their Aadhaar details and category certificates now to avoid later problems in CUET UG 2026 application process.
CUET UG 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is gearing up to hold the Common University Entrance Test CUET (UG) 2026 for undergraduates in May 2026. As the exam approaches, the online application portal will open soon on the NTA website at cuet.nta.nic.in. Eligible candidates should keep an eye on the site, as the link will become active when registrations begin.NTA asks candidates to sort out their important papers early so the application process goes smoothly and they don’t face surprises, complaints, or rejection later.
Aadhaar Card: First on the list is the Aadhaar card. Make sure the name, date of birth (as it appears on your class 10 certificate), photograph, address, and father’s name are up to date. Any mismatch between Aadhaar and the details you enter in the CUET form can lead to disqualification, so it’s worth checking now.
UDID Card for Persons with Disabilities: If you have a UDID card because you fall under the Persons with Disabilities category, verify that it is still valid and that any required renewal has been completed. An expired or outdated disability certificate will be rejected, and you won’t be able to claim the benefits you’re entitled to during the exam.
Category Certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC‑NCL): Finally, ensure your category certificate, whether it’s for EWS, SC, ST, or OBC‑NCL, is current and bears the correct details. An outdated certificate can cause your reservation to be denied, which is another reason to double‑check everything now.
Do note, NTA will not entertain late corrections, so taking care of these updates now saves you from unnecessary hassle. Keep a checklist, verify each item, and when the application window opens, you can submit your form quickly and move on to studying for the May exam.
