JEE Advanced 2025 Paper Analysis : The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur is conducting JEE Advanced 2025 examination on May 18, 2025, in two shifts. The first shift was conducted from 9 AM to 12 PM, and the second shift was held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. JEE Advanced 2025 Student Reviews
Based on the submissions received from the candidates, the student reviews on JEE Advanced 2025 exam have been provided here:
Shift 1
- Based on initial reactions from the students, the overall paper was Moderate.
- The exam asked a total of 48 questions, with 16 questions divided equally between each section, the same as last year's JEE Advanced 2024.
- The mathematics section was Moderate, with a long problem to solve, and 7 to 8 questions were highly doable.
- Physics was Moderate to Tough, also wave topic questions were a little bit challenging.
- While chemistry was easy. Most of the questions came from NCRT textbooks in the chemistry section.
- Numerical-type questions have no negative markings.
Shift 2
- Based on initial student feedback, the overall difficulty level of the paper in Shift 2 was Moderate to Tough, and slightly more challenging compared to Shift 1 of JEE Advanced 2025.
- The number of questions remained the same in both shifts.
- According to student reviews, the Mathematics section was moderate but time-consuming, while Physics was also moderate and Chemistry was relatively easy.
- A noticeable change in Shift 2 was the exam pattern, there were no paragraph-based or matrix match-type questions, which added to the difficulty. Instead, the paper included a higher number of integer-type questions.
- Overall, JEE Advanced 2025 was somewhat more difficult compared to the previous year.
- As a result, the JEE Advanced 2025 cutoff is expected to drop slightly, likely falling in the range of 90 to 95 marks.
