Top Indian Medical Colleges as per QS World University Rankings 2026: The QS World University Rankings 2026 primarily focus on the top universities across all academic disciplines. However, Indian medical colleges are generally evaluated separately in the QS World University Rankings by Subject for Medicine. In the broader QS Asia 2026 Rankings, institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore occupy leading positions for India, rather than specialized medical schools. Among them, IIT Delhi (ranked 59th in Asia) and IISc Bangalore (ranked 64th) are prominent, along with several other top IITs that excel in engineering and science, and have recently expanded to include medical programs.

Dedicated medical institutions, including AIIMS and Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore, are usually featured in the subject-specific rankings for Medicine, rather than in the overall continental list. These colleges consistently perform well in national-level assessments and are recognized for their excellence in healthcare education and research.

Although India has a strong overall presence in the QS Rankings with 294 institutions, the subject-wise rankings for Medicine offer a more accurate reflection of the country’s top-performing medical colleges.
