RBI Summer Internship 2026: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will close the application window today, December 15, 2025 ,  for the RBI Summer Internship 2026 for eligible students. Selected candidates through this internship have an opportunity to work with the top officials of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in the areas of research, policy analysis, and data work , as well as in other assignments of an academic nature relating to economics, finance, banking, law, and related disciplines. This programme allows students to gain insight into real life application of their studies within a professional environment.

The internship is available for students of Indian institutes and foreign nationals with an Indian educational background who fulfil the eligibility criteria to be in the penultimate year of studies. The entire process of application is online, and shortlisting of candidates is done on the basis of academic performance and suitability, followed by an interview if required. The stipend for the shortlisted candidates is Rs 20,000 per month. The tenure of the internship will be three months, beginning in April 2026.

Eligibility for RBI Summer Internship 2026

Candidates must fulfil the academic and institutional criteria given below to be eligible for the internship.

• Candidatemust be a citizen of India
• Applicants should be studying in a recognised Indian university or institution
• Must be Studying In the Penultimate Year of the Course
• Postgraduate, Integrated five-year or Professional degree courses can be applied for by Students
• Related subjects are Economics, Finance, Commerce, Management, Statistics, Banking, Law, etc.
• The institute must be accredited by a competent authority
• Candidates who do not meet the requirements will not be taken into consideration.
