The raw cutoff percentile for 30 marks in CAT 2025 is likely to be 56. There is no chance of admission into the Tier-1 and Tier-2 institutions for MBA admission with this score. The required cutoff percentile for IIM MBA admission is around 90 to 95 on average.

Expected Cutoff Percentile for 30 Marks in CAT 2025

The cutoff percentile for 30 marks in CAT 2025 is anticipated to be around 56th. It is important to mention that students with this score will have zero chances of admission to the IIMs for the MBA program. It is also very difficult to get admission into other Tier-2 business schools in India with a 56th percentile score in the CAT exam. The only options to secure MBA admission through CAT with the specified score are to apply to the Tier-3, private and autonomous institutes.
The reserved category students might have a faint chance of admission at the Tier-2 colleges if they apply under any of the following criteria: gender diversity, work experience, and a non-engineering background. In such cases, students can either choose to apply for other institute-specific entrance exams or appear for the CAT exam again in the following year.

Admission Policy for CAT 2025 Shortlisting

Add CollegeDekho as a Trusted Source

While the admission policy for CAT 2025 shortlisting usually remains the same across all the business schools, there may be slight differences that vary from one institute to another. The admission process in general involves a two-stage process, namely, Application Shortlisting and WAT-PI Selection. Here is the detailed CAT admission policy provided below for your reference:

Step 1: Application Shortlisting

The application shortlisting will be conducted based on the student registrations. Students will have to submit their academic qualifications, CAT score and work experience along with the application form, and those who meet all the admission criteria will be shortlisted for the next round of selection. The following step will be the WAT-PI round, which is a written assessment and personal interview selection. Only the students who clear the written assessment will be able to participate in the personal interview round. A composite score based on the student’s CAT score, classes 10th and 12th scores, Bachelor’s degree performance, work experience, and gender diversity will be calculated after the application shortlisting. Based on this, students will be called for the WAT-PI round on a specified date and time. The weightage of each component will be calculated individually based on the student’s performance, including the overall and sectional cutoff scores of the student in the CAT exam.

Step 2: WAT-PI Selection Round

The WAT-PI selection round will be the final selection round, wherein only the shortlisted students will be eligible to participate. Students will have to successfully score well individually in all these rounds of selection to be eligible for admission. Therefore, the scores from the WAT and PI will be calculated separately to determine the actual composite score. The final admission status of the participants will be calculated by parameters like personal interview round performance, WAT score, CAT score, Class 10th board score, Class 12th board score, Bachelor’s score, and work experience.

So, with 30 marks in CAT 2025, students will not be able to get MBA admission into the Tier-1 and Tier-2 colleges. While reserved category students can try their luck for Tier-2 institutes under a certain quota, General category students will have zero chances of admission in the same. One can apply to private and autonomous universities for MBA admission with 30 marks in CAT 2025. However, it is best to appear for the entrance exam again next year to secure admission into one of the top business schools in India.

Dear Student,

Since you have completed your Master’s in Psychology from Panjab University, your next step to become a trained clinical professional is to pursue an RCI-recognised Diploma in Clinical Psychology, also known as DCP. You should apply only to institutes approved by the RCI, such as IHBAS Delhi, RINPAS Ranchi, GFSU, or other government medical colleges offering DCP or M.Phil programs. Admission is usually through an entrance test and interview, and after completing DCP or M.Phil, you can obtain RCI registration to legally practice as a Clinical Psychologist in India.
