The AILET 2024 examination is scheduled by the National Law University Delhi for December 10, 2023. Aspiring test-takers have limited time remaining to prepare for AILET LLM 2024. Those interested in securing admission to the NLU Delhi's LLM (Master of Law) program, must sit for the exam. AILET which stands for All India Law Entrance Test is a very competitive law entrance examination attracting numerous applicants each year. Due to its challenging nature, candidates should allocate substantial time and effort towards their exam preparation. In NLUD through the AILET 2024 exam, 70 seats are offered for the LLM program.

The difficulty level of the exam is that of an undergraduate legal degree. The exam will only be taken in offline mode. The paper pattern educates applicants on the question format and marking system.

The AILET 2024 exam pattern for LLM is as follows:

  • The updated syllabus for the LLM program at AILET 2024 will be divided into two parts.
  • Section A will include 50 multiple-choice questions, and Section B will include two descriptive questions. The test will take 90 minutes.
  • Section A will be split into two sections.
  • Section A's first section will be in English (25 questions valued at 25 marks).
  • Section A's second part will contain legal reasoning (25 questions, valued at 50 marks).
  • Section B will only be considered for applicants who received at least 50% in both components of Section A. (Part 1 and Part 2).
  • Section B will contain ten questions on various legal concepts. For a total of 75 marks, candidates must complete any two subjective/ descriptive questions.
  • The aggregate grades from Sections A and B will be used to compile the AILET LLM final rank list.
  • Section A of AILET 2024 will feature Negative Marking.
  • For each incorrect answer, the negative marking criteria will remove 0.25 points. As a result, four wrong answers result in a one-point penalty.
  • Section B of the AILET for Master of Law (LLM) exam contains English language, Legal Reasoning, and a few questions from Tort Law, Business Law, Family Law, and other law disciplines.

To secure admission to the B.A LLB programme at Swami Vivekananda Law College, you must have passed 10+2 with at least 45% marks (SC/ ST category candidates - 40%). The programme is 5 years long and divided into 10 semesters. It has an intake of 120 students. The programme is affiliated to CCS University, Meerut and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
