Banaras Hindu University UG Admission 2024 through CUET has started. Students seeking UG admission in Banaras Hindu University (BHU), must register for CUET UG 2024 and appear for the examination. Students have to register on the Banaras Hindu University admission site (http://bhuonline.in) for Banaras Hindu University UG admission using CUET 2024. The CUET UG 2024 will be conducted on May 15 to May 31, 2024. To sit for the CUET exam, candidates must apply for CUET 2024 and submit the application form before the deadline. CUET UG 2024 registration has been extended until April 5, 2024. Earlier, the NTA extended the deadline to March 31, 2024. The National Testing Agency will complete the CUET registration process on April 5, 2024, at 09:50 PM. Candidates who wish to apply for the CUET UG 2024 exam must hurry and complete the registration process. Candidates must submit the CUET application form 2024 before the CUET UG registration deadline. Applicants will be able to pay the registration fee until 11:50 PM on April 5, 2024. Also, the NTA will open the correction window on April 6, 2024. 

About CUET 2024

CUET or Common University Entrance Test is a newly introduced entrance examination in the field of education in India. Earlier, the students had to appear in individual college and university-level entrance tests for getting admission to undergraduate courses and CUCET was not mandatory for admissions. The students are eligible to apply at Banaras Hindu University after qualifying in CUET 2024 entrance examination. Step 1: First of all students must register themselves by visiting the official website of the university at http://bhuonline.in. 

Step 2: The students can register by clicking on the “New Registration” and can get the registration details by filling the email id and date of birth as per their class xth record. 

Step 3: The students who are already registered can login by entering CUET Application Number as their user id and password as set by them. 

Step 4: Once the students have registered themselves, they must complete the registration form by entering their personal details and upload all essential documents. They must maintain an active email id throughout the process of admission. 

Step 5: The students can preview the form filled by them and must make corrections if any as they will not be able to make any changes once it is submitted

Instructions for Banaras Hindu University UG Admission 2024 through CUET Application Process

NTA has provided some general instructions for filling up the CUET application form 2024 for Banaras Hindu University UG admission. The following instructions must be considered to avoid the cancellation of the application.

• Ensure that the provided mobile no. and email address are correct.

• Make sure that the Candidate’s name, personal details, qualifications, address details, test/subject options, examination cities, PwBD status, date of birth, gender, category, etc are correctly included and valid. No request for change in all these particulars will be entertained by NTA.

• NTA will not be responsible for the incorrect information provided by the applicant.

Instructions related to passwords and photographs are as follows:

1. The password must be created with 8-13 characters. 

2. The password must be created with at least 1 special character like @&*!

3. The password must be created with at least 1 Upper case alphabet

4. The password must be created with at least 1 lower case alphabet

5. The password must be created with at least 1 numeric value

Instructions related to uploading the photograph are as follows:

1. The scanned signature and photograph need to be in JPG/JPEG format

2. The scanned photograph must be between 10kb-200kb

3. The scanned signature must be between 4kb-30kb

4. Category certificate must be uploaded in pdf form and its size should be between 50kb-300kb.

5. PwBD certificate must be uploaded in pdf form and the size should be between 50kb-300kb.

6. Color/ Black & white photograph needs to be uploaded.

7. 80% face including the ears must be visible in the photograph.

8. Photo must be taken without a mask.

9. It should be taken against the white background.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is responsible for the following tasks:

When the CUET 2024 results are released, the university creates a CUET 2024 merit list based on the score. According to the NTA's amended information bulletin, central universities can schedule individual counselling sessions based on the scorecard developed and submitted by the NTA. Banaras Hindu University has made the decision to follow suit.

Inter-Se-Ranking of Banaras Hindu University

The university has set some specific criteria for equal index marks for all courses. It will give first preference to the candidates who have obtained a higher total percentage of marks secured in the previous qualifying examination.

(Note: The above-mentioned rule will not be applicable for the BSc and BSc (Hons.) courses. For admission to these courses, the university will consider only the total marks obtained in science subjects.)

For the equal marks, the preference will be given to the age seniority of the candidates.
