The IIM Common Admission Process (CAP) 2025 result has been released starting with IIM Raipur on May 7 to IIM Sirmau on  May 10, 2025 . Most IIM CAP participating colleges released their final results on May 9. The interview round of the IIM Common Admission Process (CAP) 2025 was conducted between February 17 and March 22, 2025, with IIM Bodh Gaya coordinating the process. The CAP 2025 selection process is based on CAT cutoff percentiles, work experience, and academic performance. For the Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT), the cutoff percentiles were maintained at 95 for General category candidates, 66 for SC, and 42 for ST/PwD. Eight IIMs took part in this year's CAP round to shortlist deserving candidates. Before the interviews, the CAP 2025 slot booking window was kept open until February 3, 2025. IIM CAP 2025 Qualifying CAT Cutoff

For the selection process of IIM CAP 2025, the following cut-offs were decided for shortlisting candidates for the PI process. The shortlisting will be based on percentile cut-offs only. Only those who have scored above the cut-off marks will be considered for the PI round.

IIM CAP Eligibility Criteria 2025

If you are going to apply for IIM CAP 2025, it is important to know the eligibility criteria. General category candidates need a minimum of 50% marks in their undergraduate studies. But if you are from the SC, ST, or DA category, you must have a minimum of 45% marks in your graduation. These academic qualifications are a must to be eligible for admission to IIM CAP colleges.

How to Apply for IIM CAP 2025?

• Visit the CAP conducting IIM website.
• Next, click on the “CAP 2025 IIM” link available on the homepage.
• Go to the candidate login and enter 'Click here’.
• Enter your CAT registration ID, password, and captcha code.
• After a successful login, fill out the registration form by entering the required details.
• Upload all the required documents in a prescribed format.
• Finally, submit the filled-in CAP application form 2025.

Documents Required to Fill IIM CAP 2025 Application Form

Here are the documents you must keep ready before filling up the IIM CAP registration form 2025:

• CAT 2024 Scorecard
• Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheet with a pass certificate
• Graduation certificates
• Soft copy of the Photograph and Signature (Less than 100 KB).
• Photo Identity Card
• Experience certificates (Please do not consider training and apprenticeship as experience)
• Issue valid caste certificates (NC-OBC/ SC/ ST) as per the format given on the CAT website. (For NC-OBC, it is valid for the next six months from the date of registration)
• In the case of DAP / PwD, issue the certificate following the format given on the CAT website.
• In the case of EWS, issue the certificate following the format given on the CAT website. The certificate is valid for the year 2024-25 (based on income for the financial year 2024-25).

You can check your IIM CAP shortlist status through the official CAP website. Follow the steps to know your selection status after registering on the IIM-CAP portal:

• Visit the IIM CAP login portal.
• Enter IIM CAP user ID and password.
• Search and click on IIM CAP status.
• Check CAP call and IIM shortlist status.

IIM CAP 2025 Selection Process

It is important to have a good knowledge of the selection criteria of CAP 2025 if you plan on participating in the IIM CAP. The first stages of the selection criteria for IIMs are common for all the institutes, but the decision for giving final admission to a candidate and the final stages of the process depend on individual institutes. You can refer to the steps given below for information on how to participate in CAP 2025 .

Step 1: Shortlisting of Candidates

You are required to clear the CAT cutoff 2024 specified by the individual IIMs to which you have applied for admission. The IIM CAT cutoff percentile is released by IIMs separately, and you must stay updated with the latest information to ensure that you are eligible for admission to your choice of IIM.

Step 2: Preparation of List of Shortlisted Candidates for CAP 2025

The list of shortlisted candidates is prepared by various IIMs and sent to the institute responsible for conducting the CAP for that particular year. CAP 2025 is being conducted by IIM Bodh Gaya.

Step 3: Candidates Called for CAP 2025

Once the final list of candidates shortlisted for CAP 2025 has been prepared, you will get an invitation to participate. Those who have received the call for CAP 2025 have to appear at one of the CAP 2025 test centres and participate in the next round of selection for IIMs.

Step 4: Personal Interview

Invited candidates have to appear for the personal interview. The CAP 2025 PI is conducted in online mode to reduce the burden on the candidates from travelling to different cities to appear in MBA admission interviews.

Step 5: CAP 2025 Scores Sent to Respective IIMs

You are scored based on your performance in the PI, and these scores are sent to the respective IIMs to which you have applied. The CAP conducting body will be responsible for the preparation of the final scores of a candidate in the PI round of CAP 2025.

Step 6: Final Selection of Candidates by Various IIMs

The final scores for MBA admissions are calculated by individual IIMs based on the weightage specified in their selection policy. Apart from the PI scores, your previous academic performance and work experience are also considered when evaluating you for admission to PGP / MBA / PGDM courses offered by various IIMs. Check the various parameters and weightage mentioned below for final selection in IIMs through CAP 2025.

Those who have cleared the criteria specified in the admission policy of various IIMs can then complete the admission process and enroll for admission to their choice of management course. At the time of admission, they will be required to pay the requisite admission fee as well as submit several supporting documents for verification purposes.

Shortlisting Cutoff of Individual IIMs

You are shortlisted for participating in the admission process of IIMs based on your scores in the CAT 2024 exam . To be eligible for admission, you are required to have a score equal to or greater than the CAT 2024 cutoff announced by various IIMs. You can refer to the table given below for the CAT 2024 expected cutoff for shortlisting applicants for admission. The number of candidates shortlisted by IIMs for the WAT-PI process is usually around 10 times the number of seats available.
