Eligibility to Pursue Biotechnology Courses in India
Undergraduate Programmes:
Since all of the courses mentioned above are undergraduate courses, you will have to complete 10+2 with at least 60% marks.
Admission to all the technical and engineering courses of biotechnology is done on the basis of entrance exams such as JEE Main , JEE Advanced, UPSEE , KCET , etc.
For Biotechnology science courses like B.Sc. in Biotechnology , most of the universities take direct admissions on the basis of marks in class 12.
Post-graduate Programmes:
Admission to M.Tech and M.Sc. in biotechnology is done on the basis of the GATE entrance exam.

Salary packages depend on the degree you have pursues and the college you have graduated from. After B.Sc. in Biotechnology, you can expect a starting salary of Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 25,000 per month. However, B.Tech and BE graduates get a relatively better salary varying from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 50,000.
Salary packages are better after pursuing post-graduation and can go up to Rs. 70,000 depending on the college you have pursued your post-graduation from. Salary also increases as your experience increases.
