CENTAC Puducherry Hotel Management Admissions 2022 - Dates, Eligibility, Colleges, Courses, Application and Selection

CENTAC application form must be submitted by the second week of August 2022. A candidate must only complete the CENTAC application form in order for their candidature to be considered for the courses they have chosen or for which they are eligible. CENTAC Hotel Management Eligibility Criteria 2022

Candidates must ensure that they fill the eligibility criteria for hotel management courses before filling the application form. Applications from only eligible candidates will be accepted for the courses. The details can be found given below.

The CENTAC application form for hotel management admissions will be available online in the last week of July on the official website. The application form is only available online. CENTAC Hotel Management Application Process 2022

Mentioned below are the steps to fill the online application form for CENTAC Hotel Management. CENTAC advises all of the applicants to go through the sample filled online application form, which is attached to the information brochure.

Step 1: Visit the official website of CENTAC Puducherry (www.centacpuducherry.in)

Step 2: New User Registration; complete the New User Registration by entering the required details such as Name, Email Address, Password, Mobile Number etc.
Confirm the E-mail by entering the OTP

Step 3: By using the login ID and Password created during user registration, log in to the CENTAC application dashboard to start filling the application

Step 4: Application Form Filling 

Fill the application form by providing the following information.

1. Enter Personal Information such as Nationality, Address, Category etc

2. Enter Academic Details such as HSC (Class 12th) scores, exam boar etc

5. A preview of the filled application form will be provided to the candidate. Ensure that all of the entered details are correct as CENTAC does not accept any requests for change in the entered information after the application has been submitted

6. Submit the application

Step 5: Course Selection; login again on the application form portal. Select the courses and colleges of your choice and add priority to your selection.

Required Documents for CENTAC Hotel Management Application Form

CENTAC Hotel Management Application Fee 2022

Candidates must pay the application fee for CENTAC hotel management before they can submit the application. The fee is applicable towards the online application form as well as the counselling for CENTAC hotel management admissions.

CENTAC Hotel Management Application Fee Payment: The CENTAC application fee must be paid online via Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking.

CENTAC Hotel Management Selection Process 2022

CENTAC will publish a merit list of candidates for admission to hotel management programmes. Candidates with their names on the merit list are invited to participate in the CENTAC counselling process. Their seats are assigned based on their rank in the merit list and their course preferences. The NCHMCT JEEexam is used to determine admission to BSc Hospitality & Hotel Administration programmes. The remaining seats are then filled by CENTAC using the criteria listed below.

For BSc Hospitality & Hotel Administration: Admissions to these courses is done through the NCHMCT JEE exam. CENTAC then fills the remaining seats as per the criteria given below.

CENTAC Hotel Management Merit List 2022

To create the merit list, CENTAC first computes the candidate's score. The merit score is determined by the candidate's performance in the Class 12 exams. The following criteria were used to calculate the merit score:

• The candidate with the highest marks in any of the following language subjects: English / Hindi / Tamil / Malayalam / Telugu / Arabic / French
• The best three marks from the other main papers in the board exams
• Tie Breaking Policy: If two candidates receive the same CENTAC score, their rank is determined by their marks in English and Core Subjects (Biology/Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry/Accountancy) (in that order of priority)

CENTAC Hotel Management Counselling Process 2022

CENTAC conducts counselling for hotel management admissions in Puducherry in the online mode. Counselling is usually conducted in the following three rounds.

• First Round

• Second Round

• Mop Up Round

The Second Round and Mop Up are only conducted if any vacant seats are left after the First Round of counselling. CENTAC uses SMS / Email to communicate with the candidate's about the counselling and it is the responsibility of the candidates to keep updated with the latest information issued by the agency.

CENTAC Hotel Management Seat Allotment 2022

Candidates are allocated seats as per their preference of course and college in the counselling. Candidates with a higher rank in the merit list are given a higher preference when allocating seats. A candidate who has been allocated a seat can choose one of the following options after the seat allotment

CENTAC Hotel Management Final Reporting 2022

A provisional allotment letter will be issued to the candidates who have been allotted seats in the CENTAC Hotel Management counselling. Such candidates will be required to report to their allocated college with the allotment letter. Candidates must also bring their original documents to the reporting process for verification as per the reporting dates provided by CENTAC. Only after reporting will a candidate's admission be finalised to their allocated college and course.
