If your outfit causes you to fidget or reposition yourself, it's a bad choice. Whether you take the test in the spring or autumn, go with a plain, no-frills option. If it's cool outside, wear sweatpants, a hoodie and trainers. If the weather is warm, a loose pair of shorts and a soft t-shirt are ideal.
While there is no mandatory dress requirement, it is recommended that you dress formally for the UGC NET exam. This contributes to a professional and serious environment. Candidates can wear formal shirts, trousers, skirts, or dresses. Avoid wearing casual or informal clothing like jeans, t-shirts, or shorts.
Candidates are also not permitted to arrive at the testing location wearing clothing with a lot of buttons. Shoes or footwear with thick soles are not appropriate for candidates. Also, during the exam, candidates are not permitted to bring any electronic devices, including calculators, handbags, or cell phones.
