What is CEED Part A Cutoff
The CEED Part A cutoff will be the minimum marks required to qualify for the evaluation of Part B of the examination. In simple words, the CEED Part A cutoff is used as a primary benchmark to qualify for the exam. Generally, the Part A cutoff is 25% of the overall result and is determined by using the following formula:
𝛿 = 𝜇 + ( 𝜎 / 2 ) |
|---|
Where 𝜇 is the average marks obtained by the students, 𝜎 is the standard deviation, which defines how spread out everyone's scores are from the average score, and 𝛿 is the CEED Part A cutoff. Additionally, the reserved categories get relaxation on the Part A cutoff marks. Check the cutoff formulas for the reserved categories below:
1. OBC-NCL & EWS cut-off = 0.9 × δ
2. SC/ST/PwD cut-off = 0.5 × δ.
