Documents Required for JEE Main Registration 2024 

Candidates are advised to be ready with the following documents required for the JEE Main 2024 exam -

1. Class 10 Mark Sheet: You will need to provide a scanned copy or a digital image of your Class 10 mark sheet as proof of having completed the secondary education.

2. Class 12 Mark Sheet: You will also need to submit a scanned copy or a digital image of your Class 12 mark sheet or an equivalent qualifying examination. This is to demonstrate your eligibility for appearing in the JEE Mains examination.

3. Passport-sized Photograph: You will be required to upload a recent passport-sized photograph during the registration process. The photograph should be in colour, taken against a white or light-coloured background, and should have your name and date of photograph mentioned at the bottom.

4. Signature: You need to provide a scanned copy or a digital image of your signature. The signature should be done on white paper using a black ink pen and then scanned or clicked using a digital camera or a smartphone.

5. Photo ID Proof: A valid photo ID proof, such as an Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, or any other government-issued ID card, is required for registration. The ID proof should contain your name, date of birth, and a clear photograph.

6. Category Certificate (if applicable): If you belong to a reserved category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL), you may need to provide a scanned copy or a digital image of the relevant category certificate issued by a competent authority.

JEE Mains Documents Required for OBC

For OBC candidates, the documents required for JEE Main registration typically include an OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate issued on or after April 1, 2024, as per the format specified by the authorities. Additionally, candidates are also needed to provide other standard documents such as a valid photo ID, educational certificates, and a recent passport-sized photograph.

Documents Required for JEE Main Registration - Important Guidelines for Images & Photographs

Candidates while uploading the photograph and signatures in the JEE Main 2024 Application form should note the following points: 

• Coloured passport-sized photographs shall only be permitted

• Candidates can take the photograph with spectacles on. However, photographs wearing sunglasses and hats shall not be permitted. 

• The candidate's date of birth and name should be printed on the photograph

• Polaroid photographs shall not be permitted

• The signature must be done neatly on white paper

• Photographs that are not taken clearly shall be rejected

• Visit the NTA official portal - jeemain.nta.ac.in

• Click on the 'JEE Main 2024 Application Form' link
