GATE 2023 Counselling Process

Candidates who will pass the GATE 2023 exam must apply to COAP for IIT M.Tech admission and CCMT for NIT M.Tech admission. The GATE 2023 counselling is handled through the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) and the Centralised Counselling for M.Tech/M.Des (CCMT). Candidates who pass the GATE exam will need to apply separately for COAP and CCMT counselling in order to take admission to the participating institutes. It should be noted that COAP is used for admission to IITs, whereas CCMT is used for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFITs. Candidates seeking admission to IITs must apply to individual institutes and register at COAP 2023. GATE has no centralized counselling process. Furthermore, state and private colleges perform their own GATE-based admissions counselling.
