GUIDELINE FOR M.E. PROGRAMMES (Batch 2016-18) given by the IET,Devi Ailya University .berfore admission read this guideline whiche mention below in the many points and mention all procedure which helpfull to admission in engineering postgraduation courses.

  • Preferably, all seats shall be filled with GATE Qualified candidate, having valid GATE score in relevant discipline.
  • Order of preference of Branch for GATE qualified candidate in a particular branch is given in Annexure A. Order of preference of Branch for Sponsored Candidate (FT/PT) in a particular branch is given in Annexure B. For example: A candidate having valid GATE score in Computer Engg. shall be given preferance over any other candidate in ME Software Engg. (regular) course. Similarly, A candidate having BE in E&TC Engg. shall be given preferance over any other candidate in ME Digital Comm. (part time) course.
  • If the candidate is not qualified in the GATE Examination, then he/she will be treated as Non GATE candidate. Vacant seats in each ME program may be filled with Non GATE candidates on the basis of Percentage in BE degree.
  • Two (02) seats are reserved for ST Candidate and one (01) seat is reserved for SC Candidate, out of thirteen (13) seats in each program. The seats of ST category shall be filled in following order

1. ST Candidate with GATE Score.

2. SC candidate with GATE Score

3. ST Candidate with BE Percentage.

4. SC Candidate with BE Percentage.

Similarly, SC Category seats shall be filled in following order.

SC Candidate with GATE Score.

2. ST candidate with GATE Score

3. SC Candidate with BE Percentage.

4. ST Candidate with BE Percentage.

  • AICTE has approved 18 Seats (UR-10, ST-2, SC-1, sponsored-5) in each regular M.E. programme.
  • All GATE qualified students shall be assigned 8-10 hrs. load per week (Teaching Assistantship), as per AICTE norms.
  • AICTE scholarship shall be cancelled for forthcoming semesters, if the student fails in any semester.
  • Students who have, registered in a semester in the ME program and detained due to absenteeism or not able to complete their project work in the particular semester, shall be required to re-register themselves by paying the semester fees as per the prevailing rules.
  • A student shall be allowed to register in 4th semester (for full time ME program) / 6th semester (for part time ME program) for Dissertation Phase II, only if has passed all theory subjects of previous semesters.
  • Merit list will be prepared according to the GATE Score. If GATE Scores of two or more candidates are equal, then GATE rank will be considered for deciding merit.
