  • Step 1: Qualify JEE Main Paper 2A - The first is an examination that measures your knowledge of mathematics and drawing skills. Score well enough to make the cutoff.
  • Step 2: Clear JEE Advanced - After qualifying, one must clear the JEE Advanced exams to be eligible for consideration.
  • Step 3: Appear for Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) - After AAT, your merit position is based on the AAT score; the higher the score, the better the chances of getting admission into your preferred IIT.
  • Step 4: Final Merit List Preparation - Your AAT scores determine your position in the final merit list. Higher scores mean better chances of getting your preferred IIT.
  • Step 5: JoSAA Counseling - Allotment of seats happens through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority counseling process, during which you can fill your preferences as well as be allotted a seat based on your rank and availability.
