Instructions to be Followed after KCET First Round Seat Allotment 2023: The Karnataka Examination Authority released the KCET 2023 Seat Allotment for Round 1 on August 17, 2023. Candidates should be aware of the instructions to be followed after checking the allotment status. All those candidates who registered for KCET 2023 counselling and filled out the option entry form are considered eligible for seat allotment. The rank of the candidate in KCET 2023 is strictly considered with regard to the seat allotment. Apart from the rank, and reservation policy, the total number of seats available and options filled by the candidate are taken into consideration to process the seat allotment. What After KCER First Round Seat Allotment 2023?

KCET seat allotment 2023 result for round 1 was released on August 17, 2023. Before commencing the KCET 2023 round 2 counselling, KEA conducted the document verification round again for students who wanted to participate in the round 2 seat allotment and did not have their documents verified. The KCET 2023 document verification round 2 was held on August 29, 2023. Candidates were instructed to visit the designated centre with documents, like the Aadhaar card, admission ticket, caste certificate, income certificate, marks sheets, etc. 

KCET First Round Seat Allotment 2023

Karnataka Examination Authority announced the KCET seat allotment 2023 for round 1 on August 17, 2023. The seat allotment result of KCET 2023 was released based on the choices filled in by candidates, the rank secured in the examination and the availability of seats. Candidates belonging to special categories such as Physically Disabled, NCC and Sports Category were allotted seats followed by the general category candidates.

KCET Mock Seat Allotment 2023

The KCET 2023 mock allotment result was made available on August 11, 2023, in online mode on the official website. KEA allowed candidates to choose their preferred universities and courses for admission through KCET 2023. Mock seats during the KCET mock seat allotment are assigned to applicants to give them an indication of the seats they may be assigned in the final KCET 2023 seat allotment. With the release of the KCET seat allotment results, applicants can make changes to the options they previously filled out.

What to do after KCET 2023 Seat Allotment?

After checking the seat allotment result, the candidates are given four options to choose from -

Choice 1

  • If you are satisfied with the seat allotment and do not want to participate in further rounds of counselling, you can choose Choice 1
  • Candidates choosing this option will have to download the Challan
  • The candidates need to visit the nearest bank specified by KEA on Challan and deposit the course fee
  • The amount that has to be paid will be available on the Challan
  • After depositing the fee at the bank, collect the receipt
  • Download ‘Admission Order’ from the KEA candidate portal one hour after paying the fee

Choice 2

  • If you are waiting for a better college option and do not want to lose the already allocated seat, you can choose Choice 2
  • In such cases, you can participate in Round 2 counselling
  • Seat allotted in Round 1 will not be cancelled till you get a higher-order college option in subsequent rounds
  • Candidates choosing this option need not pay the seat acceptance fee till a seat is accepted in subsequent rounds

Choice 3

  • If you are not satisfied with the seat allotment in Round 1 and willing to participate in Round 2, you can choose Choice 3
  • In such cases, the seat allotted in Round 1 shall be cancelled
  • Candidates choosing this option need to pay the seat acceptance fee till a seat is accepted in subsequent rounds

Choice 4

  • If you are not satisfied with the seat allotment and want to quit the counselling process, you can choose this option
  • Candidates choosing this option are not eligible for subsequent rounds of counselling

Steps to Pay KCET 2023 Seat Acceptance Fee

Here are the steps to pay the KCET 2023 seat acceptance fee -

  • After checking the seat allotment result on the official website, download the Challan from the candidate portal
  • Take the printout of the Challan
  • Affix your signature on the Challan
  • Visit the nearest bank listed by KEA on Challan
  • Go to the cash deposit counter and deposit the course fee
  • Collect the receipt

How to Download KCET 2023 Admission Order?

Here are the simple steps to download the KCET 2023 admission order -

  1. The admission order will be available one hour after the payment of the admission fee
  2. The candidates will have to log in on the KEA website with the CET number
  3. The option to download the admission order will be available on the screen
  4. Download and take the printout of the admission order
  5. Affix your signature on the admission order

The dates regarding the seat acceptance process will be announced soon. Candidates will have to report to the college within the specified date. The candidates need to carry all the original documents presented during the document verification process.

KCET 2023 Seat Allotment Round 2

The KCET 2023 seat allotment result for round 2 has been released on September 8, 2023. Seats reserved under the rural and Kannada medium quotas are filled during the second round of KCET seat allotment 2023. 

KCET Seat Allotment 2023: Second Extended Round

KEA is likely to release the KCET Second Extended Seat Allotment 2023 on September 25, 2023. Seats left empty after the second round of KCET seat allotment 2023 will be filled in this round for the categories of SCG, STG, 1G, 2AG, 2BG, 3AG, 3BG, GMR, and GMK, among others. All of the above-mentioned seats will be transformed into general category seats, and KCET 2023 seats will be allocated to applicants from all categories.

KCET 2023 Special Round Seat Allotment

If seats remain unfilled after the two rounds and the extended round of KCET seat allotment 2023, the authorities may hold a special round. If all of the seats are filled in the previous rounds of KCET 2023 seat allotment, the authorities may not hold any additional rounds.

KCET 2023 Participating Colleges

The KCET 2023 participating institutions and seat matrix have been released by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). The KCET 2023 participating institutes are colleges that accept students through the KCET exam. Students studying for the KCET 2023 exam for admission to B.Tech programmes in Karnataka should be aware of the numerous colleges to which they might apply. There are a total of 252 KCET 2023 participating institutes in Karnataka that provide B. Tech programmes, as well as 42 engineering colleges that offer architectural courses. In addition, 15 KCET 2023 member institutes provide B.Tech courses in the second shift.
