Institute of Technology and Management University (ITMU) is located in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. ITM University is a private university and was established in 1997. Established by ‘Samata Lok Sansthan Trust’, ITM University Gwalior is accredited Grade ’B’ by NAAC (the council responsible for allocating grades to the universities). Also, the university has been recognized by other entities such as UGC and AICTE. The University offers various courses such as UG and PG, including BTech, BCA, BCom, BA, BSc, MTech, MSc, and MBA and many others.  These courses are offered through 14 schools that impart knowledge in different streams- Schools of Engineering and Technology, Sciences, Management, Education, Nursing, Physical Science, and others. The courses offered by the university are approved by various regulatory bodies including the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, the Council of Architecture, the Indian Nursing Council, the Pharmacy Council of India, the National Council of Teacher Education, the Bar Council of India, and the MP Paramedical Council.

As per the student’s review on Quora, ITM University Gwalior is known for opting for degrees. Deep subject knowledge is not provided to students. Mostly, the students from Computer Science get placed. The pedagogy and the teaching methodology are not very expressive as claimed by the students.

The distance of ITM University from Gwalior Junction Railway Station is 16 km. The student can reach campus from the station in 30 minutes (approx). The distance of ITM University from Gwalior airport is 33 km (approx). The time taken by the student to reach the campus from the airport is 40-45 minutes.

Hostel

The Institute of Technology and Management University provides separate hostels for boys and girls. ITM University Gwalior’s hostel facilities include security, meals, laundry, housekeeping, and many more facilities. All the basic amenities are provided to the students such as a table, chairs, bed, wardrobe etc. Recreational facilities are also available for the hostel students such as games and events.

Activities

ITM University Gwalior's facilities and activities include the fitness center. The gymnasium and fitness center are equipped with the latest equipment and machines for fitness enthusiasts in college.  ITM University Gwalior provides various sports facilities that include courts and the provision of fields for various sports like tennis, badminton, basketball, horse riding, and many other sports.

Cafe/Hangout

The ITM University Gwalior has a canteen that provides healthy and nutritious food to the students and staff members in the college. Apart from this, the university has a convenience store that provides many facilities to the students like photocopying facilities, stationery, etc. Various cafes and hangout places are located a few kilometers of distance from the college. However, no famous cafes are there around the campus.

Our Take
As per the student review on Quora, the building of ITM Universitie Gwalior should be spacious, and well-planned with good architectural features. Various labs of the university are not maintained properly and need to be renovated. Also, there should be good ventilation in all the classrooms along with facilities like fans, lights, benches, chairs, backboards, etc. Many classrooms miss the necessities that are required for effective teaching. There should also be facilities such as laboratories, arts and crafts workshops, multimedia rooms, career counseling rooms, etc for students' welfare. As per students' review, a clean and very good environment must be there around the campus.  As per the infrastructure, there should be adequate classrooms and it should look pleasant with a good painting.

Course-wise Internship

The ITM University Gwalior offers course-wise internships to students who are in the final year of their course. The majority of the students are provided internships in the IT, Marketing, and Banking sectors. The college provides basic training and ideas about learning professional discourse, presentations, and workshops before the companies arrive for internship/placement offers.

Our Take
As per the placement record of ITM University Gwalior, it can be noted that the college offers various internship and placement opportunities to students. However, the packages offered to the student as a fresher are not handsome. As per the student’s review, the placement cell of the university must work on this front to enhance the opportunities. The basic training and workshops are organized before the placement season to boost the self-confidence of the students. 

Diversity & Representation

The total number of male students at ITM University Gwalior is 186 whereas the total number female students is 30. The male feamle ratio of the university is 6:1.

Our Take
As per the available data, the diversity and the student representation in ITM University Gwalior is not uniform. The male student is more in comparison to the female students in the college. This creates a recognizable gender gap considering the total students count in college. The college administration must focus on reducing the gap between the male-female enrolment ratio.

Faculty/College Administration & Management

These faculty members are highly qualified and experienced, and they are committed to teaching and research. Most of the faculty members teaching at ITM University Gwalior are PhD holders or research scholars. The college administration is also helpful in managing the overall activities on the campus. The college management ensures the safety and security of the students on the campus. The college faculty and the administration of ITM University provide basic assignments, instructions, and support to improve the performance of the students who are lagging in academics which promotes the policy of ‘inclusion’ in class.

Our Take
As per the student’s review, the administration of ITM University Gwalior is helpful and is active to the queries of students. An effective and administering ‘assistance cell’ has been implemented on the campus to look after the issues or any dispute arising on the campus to maintain decorum.

Location

The campus of ITM University Gwalior is located in close proximity to the Gwalior Railway Junction. However, it is far away from the Gwalior airport. The college campus is located in the suburbs and not exactly amid the Gwalior city.

Our Take
As the campus of ITM University Gwalior is located a little far away from the city, it becomes difficult for the students to reach the campus, especially during the late evening. In terms of safety and security especially for female students, traveling after the evening can be a little compromising. It is advised to reach the campus before daylight.

ITM University has emerged as a renowned and prestigious education institute providing courses across various fields such as education, IT, engineering, humanities, pharmacy, and other streams at pretty affordable fees, being a private university. The college faculty is highly qualified and experienced in educational discourse. As per the student review on Quora, there are various placement opportunities in college. But, the placement packages need to go slightly up. The university also needs to implement stringent anti-ragging laws as various cases of ragging have sprung up in student reviews.
