Hence, you will be pushed to the open category pool. The following rules will be applicable if your category changes during the verification round:

• If the GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, or DS certificate is found to be invalid, but you satisfy all the other requirements, and the seat is allocated in the OPEN category, then the offer of admission will be provisionally confirmed.

• If the GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, or DS certificate is not valid, then your seat will be cancelled, and you will be considered as a GEN category candidate in the subsequent rounds of the allotment.

• If your PWD certificate and UDID are found invalid, then your seat will be cancelled, and you will be considered for seat allocation in the next round in the respective category, i.e., if you belong to the general category, then you will be pushed to the general category pool, and similarly for any other categories, provided the candidate has not availed Compensatory Time and/or Scribe during the exam.

• However, if the facility of scribe and/or compensatory time has been availed, and/or the candidate does not satisfy other criteria, then such a candidate shall no longer be permitted to participate in JoSAA, and any allocated seat will be cancelled.
