- The candidates must have completed higher secondary studies (10+2) or its equivalent recognized by the government of India
- Candidates are required to score at least 45% (40% for SC/ST) in math and physics, as well as biology biotechnology chemistry or computer science.
- Physics and Mathematics must be the main subjects and the entire syllabus in English

The Karnataka Examinations Authority started the KCET 2025 registration process on January 23, 2025. KEA opened the portal for candidates to edit the application form after April 19, 2025. Candidates will be able to easily apply for the common entrance test by visiting the official website and following the steps below. The entire process consists of entering details, fee payment, and submitting required information/documents
Step 1: Registration
To register for the KCET exam, candidates first have to go to the official application page, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea
- Select New User to start your application
- Read the given instructions and proceed with the application

- The PUE office issues all its 12 PUC candidates with a 13-digit 'Student Number' which needs to be entered.
- Finalize by clicking on the submit button

Step 4: KCET 2025 Application Fee payment
The required KCET 2025 application fee has to be paid in online (net banking/credit card/debit card) or offline mode. For the offline payment, the candidates have to download the e-challan and pay at a bank that is either belonging to SBI or ICICI.

Step 5: Submitting the form
Finally, candidates will review all of the details submitted and any mistakes can be fixed by clicking the ‘Edit Application Form' button. Afterwards, they will have to click on ‘Accept Declaration’ and then click ‘Final Print’ to print out their application form of KCET 2025. They must show this printed KCET 2025 application form to the principal or head of whichever school they studied or are studying at present to get that person to sign it verifying its authenticity. Candidates will be required to provide this attested KCET application form at their counseling session.
