About BDS Course in India
A BDS graduate (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) is a doctor having expertise in teeth, jaw, and other facial structures related to the mouth. A BDS Doctor or Dentist helps in maintaining the oral health of an individual. A dentist's daily work includes several dental surgeries, jaw fixings, and tooth removals. One has to be precise with his hands as this profession requires the delicate handling of the dental apparatus. Eligibility Requirement for BDS Course
Any Dental Surgery aspirant needs to appear for NEET 2023 and clear the exam in order to be eligible to apply for admission to any of the Dental colleges in India. The other requirements are listed below -
The applicant has to apply for NEET 2023 and appear in the examination. Moreover, it is also mandatory to secure minimum cutoff marks in NEET 2023 to be eligible for counselling rounds.
The applicant must have completed class 12th examination from any recognised board of the country with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as mandatory subjects with a minimum of 50% marks (for Unreserved category), 40% marks (for SC/ST/OBC category), and 45% marks (for PwD category) aggregate
- The minimum age to apply for NEET 2023 is 17 years. However, there is no upper age limit to apply for NEET.
