Documents Required for CLAT Counselling

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2022 counselling registration will begin once the CLAT 2023 Results are out. On August 8, 2022, the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) issued the CLAT 2023 application form. The Consortium of NLU S official website now accepts registrations for CLAT 2023. The CLAT 2023 application form must be submitted by November 13, 2022. The registration cost for CLAT in 2023 is INR 4,000 for applicants in the general category and INR 3,500 for candidates in the SC, ST, and BPL categories. Candidates must register and complete the application form in order to participate in CLAT 2023 exam. The CLAT 2023 counselling will take place once the CLAT 2023 results are declared and the merit list is released. Only those candidates who have successfully registered and completed CLAT Counselling registration can participate in the counselling process.

In order to register for CLAT 2023, candidates must provide personal information, educational background, contact information, and test center preferences. Around 10 days prior to the exam, admit cards will be provided to successfully enrolled applicants who have paid the application fee to appear in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2023) test.

CLAT 2023 Counselling Process Quick Overview

The relevant NLUs and other participating colleges publish their cut offs following the release of the CLAT 2023 results. On the official website, candidates who get the minimum required marks must register for CLAT 2023 centralized counselling. The steps in the procedure are as follows:

Important Documents for CLAT 2023 Counselling Process

The list of important documents required for CLAT 2023 counselling process has been provided below. It must be noted that candidates will only be permitted to attend the counselling process if they have paid the CLAT counselling fee of Rs. 50,000 before the deadline. For document verification, the candidates who have reserved the designated seats will be contacted. They need to have two sets of photocopies in addition to the originals of the documents listed below.

  • CLAT 2022 Admit Card

  • Mark sheet of class 10
  • Mark sheet of class 12
  • Specially-abled or PwD Certificate (if applicable)

CLAT 2023 Counselling Fees

A few of the important points regarding CLAT 2023 counselling fee payment are mentioned below:

  • Candidates must pay the counselling cost, which is Rs 30,000 for candidates in the unreserved category and Rs 20,000 for candidates in the SC/ST.
  • Online payment methods for the counselling fees include credit card, debit card, and net banking. The CLAT registration portal will include a payment gateway.
  • Before the deadline, the CLAT 2022 counselling cost must be turned in. Candidates won't be taken into consideration for seat allocation if they don't pay the counselling fee.
  • The course prices are adjusted with the CLAT counselling charge. Candidates will need to pay the course fee after adjusting for the counselling registration charge when submitting their course fees at the designated NLU.

CLAT 2023 Seat Allocation

The Consortium will compile a list of all applicants in order of merit upon registration. The CLAT merit list will be used to determine who gets the first seat. The following options will then be presented to the contestants.



Accept the Seat

The applicant accepts the seat at the NLU that has been assigned to them. They are prohibited from taking part in any subsequent CLAT counselling sessions in 2023. The applicant may now upload their paperwork online.

Apply for Upgrade

These candidates want an upgrade because they are not happy with their current position. These applicants will be regarded as participants in the subsequent round of seat distribution.

Exit From the Seat Allotment

If the candidate wants to resign from consideration, 40,000 INR will be returned to their accounts after the processing fees have been deducted.

Note: Three seat allocations will be made public by the Consortium of NLUs. The applicants must be aware that their INR 50,000 payment will be returned if they are not offered a seat until the third round.
