How to change IIT JAM 2026 Exam Centre?
Students can change the location of their IIT JAM 2026 exam in exceptional circumstances by following these steps:
- Visit the IIT JAM 2026 website and log in.
- Click on the Drop-down menu and then click on "Change Exam Centre".
- Then click on the "Exceptional Circumstances" option.
- Write a convincing justification for the request to relocate the IIT JAM Exam centre. The reason for the change of JAM exam centre must be strong, and any medical certificate, police report, or other document can help.
- Pay the INR 500 processing fee.
- Then click on the submit button to complete the process.
Students must be aware of the details of the chosen IIT JAM exam centre before filling out the IIT JAM 2026 Registration form. Always remember that the first IIT JAM Exam centre choice is the most important one which will determine the zone and then the other 2 options of exam centres can be chosen from the same zone only.
Things to Remember at IIT JAM Exam centres
Candidates aspiring to appear for IIT JAM have to adhere to certain regulations at their respective exam centres.
- The candidate is advised to reach the IIT JAM exam centres at least 30 minutes early.
- They must carry an IIT JAM 2026 admit card, photo identity, and copies of passport-size photos.
- Any electronic devices such as calculators, electronic pens, etc will be confiscated
- Candidates won’t be able to carry any food items inside the exam centres.
Note: Students have to pay a processing fee and provide a valid reason for changing the location of the exam. On the other hand, the JAM organising committee cannot guarantee that candidates will be able to change their exam location or receive a refund of their processing fee.
