
If you miss out on seat allotment during the standard MAH MBA CET 2025 counselling or CAP rounds, you still have a chance to secure admission through the MAH MBA CET 2025 waitlist movement . The MAH MBA CET Common Admission Process (CAP) is conducted by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra, in three rounds soon after the MAH MBA CET results are announced on May 29, 2025. If you are eligible, you can participate in all three rounds of CAP till you receive a seat allotment. However, if you are not allotted a seat after the conclusion of the final CAP round, you become eligible to apply for the vacant seats remaining post-counselling. Admission to these seats is done separately and at an institutional level, under the Director or Principal of the concerned institution.

Admission Process for Vacant Seats After MAH MBA CET 2025 CAP
Once all the MAH MBA CET counselling rounds are concluded, the admission process for vacant seats after CAP and Institutional Quota seats will commence, which is also known as the MAH MBA CET 2025 waitlist movement. Check out the guidelines for this process as mentioned by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, below:
- Admissions to vacant seats after CAP will be as per the Inter-Se-Merit of the candidates who have applied to the Competent Authority for verification of documents, and then to the Institution.
- An information brochure or prospectus of the Institution, which specifies the rules of admission, will be published well before the commencement of the process of admission. This information will also be available on the official website of the institute.
- Institutes shall invite applications by notifying the schedule of admission and the number of seats in each course to be filled by the institution, by advertisement on its official website
- Eligible candidates need to apply to the respective institution for admission to the vacant seats after CAP at the Institution level.
- After verification of all required documents, an Inter-Se-Merit list of the candidates will be prepared at the Institution level, and the same will be published on the official website of the Institution.
- If any CAP seat remains or becomes vacant after the CAP Rounds, then the same shall be filled in by the candidate from the same category for which it was earmarked during the CAP. Further, if the seats remain vacant, then the seats shall be filled on the basis of Inter-Se-Merit of the applicants.
- During the MAH MBA CET 2025 waitlist movement admissions, the preference shall be given to the Maharashtra State candidature candidate over the All India candidature candidate based on Inter-Se-Merit.
- If any seat remains vacant after allotment has been provided to Maharashtra State candidature candidates and All India candidature candidates, then these seats may be filled with NRI, Foreign Students (FS), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries (CIWGC) candidature candidates.
